After your treatment at Great Wall Chinese Medicine, your body continues the healing process. Following these simple guidelines will help you get the most benefit and avoid discomfort.

Treatment-Specific Guidelines

After Acupuncture

You may feel relaxed, sleepy, or light-headed—this is normal.
Keep needle sites clean and avoid scratching.
Rest if your body feels tired.
Minor bruising or soreness may occur and will resolve naturally.

After Cupping

Circular marks or mild soreness are normal and may last a few days.
Keep the area warm and covered—avoid cold drafts and showers for 24 hours.
Do not scratch the cupped areas.

After Moxibustion

Warm sensation at the treatment area may continue for a few hours.
Keep treated areas away from cold wind or water exposure.
Drink warm water to support circulation.

After Massage / Manual Therapy

Mild soreness, like post-exercise, is normal and temporary.
Rest and hydrate to help flush out released toxins.
Avoid heavy lifting or overexertion for the rest of the day.

After Herbal Medicine

Take herbs exactly as directed (timing, preparation, and dosage).
If you notice unusual reactions, contact your practitioner.
Avoid spicy, greasy, or heavily processed foods unless advised otherwise.
